There's no use beating around the bush here. You've read the title; you know what this is about. Starting today, I'm using GoatCounter for analytics, and utterances for comments. The addition of analytics will likely displease some of the more privacy-minded of you, so this is in equal parts a warning. You may want to install an ad blocker if you don't like analytics services. In addition, rest assured that GoatCounter is acutely privacy-minded and open-source for any audits you may wish to perform.

Accessibility (hereafter referred to as a11y) comes in many forms. It refers to accommodation for people with physical disabilities, people who struggle with understanding complex models, or even simply fully able people in environments or constraints that prevent them from using applications to their full capability. It's a well-known fact at this point that the traditional UNIX-like terminal model (hereafter the shell) is notorious for committing a lot of sins on this aspect, and modern UI/UX designers generally see the shell as a keen example of what not to do. To quote The Unix Hater's Handbook, a humorous take on the bad design of UNIX from the early Macintosh era:

Hey there! My name is Eunakria, but you probably don't know me by that name. That's because over the past few years, I've accumulated a lot of nicknames in various different circles, none of which unique and many of which niche.
